bad news

I blog when I'm happy. Lately I've had a difficult time maintaining an acceptable level of happiness. We found out this week that Bill, my sunday school teacher and good friend, has been diagnosed with Mutiple Myeloma. It a pretty mean type of cancer of the blood that affects the bones. It has really been devastating to his wife Sally, their family and to our whole church family as well. Sally is our pianist at church and works with Lydia at DuPont Elementary too. The prognosis is not good, and the cancer has been advancing at a fierce pace. We have been praying that God would touch Bill, and that if that isn't His will that He would give peace to everyone affected. I would appreciate your prayers.

we took this a few weeks ago when we were walking in the riverpark

wow..what a difficult time to be in. i'm praying for Bill and his family. and you as well. i know how tough it is to watch someone you love be taken away slowly. but please know that if it's not God's will to heal him, then it is His will to bring him home. What a wonderful place to be...in the arms of God! i am praying for peace and comfort, and joy (not happiness...JOY) during this trying time in all of your lives.
