I confess--to many its probably no secret--when I was young I loved playing with dolls. And I especially loved playing with the dolls at my granny's house because she had a trunk full of beautiful clothes to dress them up in. So now, I'm an adult and I have a baby daughter and as my mom would say about me "I love playing with my little doll." More specifically, dress up! If you've seen Cora's closet, dresser, or cases of clothes under her bed, you would understand.
Cora spit up who knows how many times today and instead of putting grungies on her because its Saturday and we're not going anywhere, I've been dressing her up--in sundresses she's been given that won't fit her this summer. One had a matching hat, so I put it on her, too, just because babies are soooo cute in hats. She doesn't seem to mind. She just wants to be clean and dry. Geron, on the other hand, thinks I'm crazy, I'm sure. But he's not a girl, so he doesn't understand. Last week we bought her a bikini, a teeny weeny yellow bikini--no polka dots. Of course, we had to see her in it right away. I think it will be too small this summer.
Anyway, I report all of this to say that if anyone else out there in blogger world is guilty of playingdress up with your baby, please post so I know i'm not alone in my craziness!

All right Lydia. I confess. Although I don't have a baby of my own to dress up. I have shopping sprees at Babies R Us and stake myself out at parks and playgrounds. When the parents turn their backs for one second. I change their clothes. An you're correct. They're super cute in hats.
It's a sickness. Really.
Post some pics of these dress up shows!! I want to see her in the hats. I used to do that with Bryan when he was a baby because otherwise there was no way he was ever going to wear all of those clothes!!
I'm with Holly. Pictures please! Especially of the bikini.
Nope, you're not alone. Jamethan was my own personal fashion model. Sometimes 5 or 6 different outfits in one day, then I'd take pictures of him with stuffed animals and all dressed up. And if I ever am blessed enough to have more children, I'll do the same with them.
Oh, and I agree with everyone else: PICTURES PLEASE!!!!
Until Jaden was born, after the OshKosh overalls and mini-workboots, I didn't have much cause to play dress-up. But now? Jaden will be here this evening, and I can't wait because we bought her a pair of light-up sandals and a few new dresses.
I think the difference between a Mimi and a mommy is that Mimis don't mind if they take the new chiffon dress and roll around in the mud with the dogs in it.
I haven't done that yet, but Avery is only 4 weeks old. And only has sleepers and things she won't be able to wear for at least another month! I'm sure I will do the dress up thing, as soon as I get some sleep.
