Name That Baby Contest

We have 3 to 4 weeks left to go and don’t have a name yet for our little guy, so I’m instigating a “Name That Baby Contest”.  People, send in your suggestions.  Looking for something short, as well as easy to spell AND say.  No “Mapoopis”, “Ruddy”, or any other jokes on the last name.  Everett, I know this will be hard for you, but keep them to yourself, okay?

Maybe I shouldn’t say CONTEST, just suggestions..  We’re about spent on names and have yet to agree on one.  Middle name, I THINK, we have down, but first name still needed.  Whoever is thinking “Mathusula” should also keep that to themselves.

Okay, bring’em on!

charlie? haha...just teasing. my FAVORITE boy's name is jack (and that would have been josie's name had she been a boy), but maybe i'm partial to it b/c it's my papaw's name. i also like caleb and chase. love you all and are so glad that everything is coming back ok for baby brown!

Well, around here he's still known as Diesel, thanks to Cora. Another good name would be Elmo, or McDonald, since Elmo likes those.

Short names: could that be a nickname for a longer name, or do you want it to be a one name name? (Not that any names stay that way in our family.) I like Tim and Seth. I also really like Ben. (I think Hoss may be suitable, but not ideal.) Gabe. Isaac could be Ike. Kevin. Kevin and Cora would be cute names together. Don't name him Leslie, Pat, or Lynn, please. I prostest to those names. Of course he's your baby. Frank would be a cute name for a baby, though I usually think of it as an old man name. Remember, Grandpa (the male) was named Francis. Matt would be cute. I've always liked Nate and Nathan. (Can you tell I'm going through the alphabet in my head?) Quint or Clint? Sam. That's a cute name. Wesley. Okay. I think I'm spent.

How about Grant?

I always thought if I were to have another boy I would name him Jacob Levi (I liked that middle name way before a certain male actor and his model girlfriend had a baby this past Monday).

Grant Brown sounds like a fashion designer! Or maybe a realtor. He could be famous. I like the names Jacob and Levi, too.

Do you have a middle name already and are looking for a first name to go with it?

Names I like but can't ever use for different reasons: Evan, Ethan, Justin, Thomas, Joshua, Anthony, Nathan
Or you could just stick with Diesel Rebel (because you know that's going to stick anyway) :)

Oh, sorry, I saw that you said you have a middle name picked out. Let us know what it is and we can tell you what name goes with it :-)

These are "my" names--but I'll let you use them :). I don't think we will need them for a while, if ever.

Ethan
Elijah
Isaac (means laughter)
Asher (means happy)

currently I am loving the name Cooper though. Cora and Cooper. That's cute. Caleb. Sam. Ben. I like those as well.

How about Morris. You don't meet many Morrises these days. I have a friend named Frank. When he introduces himself he says, "Frank, like the hot dog." I really like the name David.
