Growing Pains and other 80's t.v.shows...

Pregnancy defined by 80's television.

"Growing Pains"--the cramps you get when your uterus starts to stretch or from watching too much of Kirk Cameron

"8 is Enough"--how many months of pregnancy you should actually have to endure

"Silver Spoons"--baby shower gifts

"The Cosby Show"--what will happen in the delivery room

"Facts of Life"--all about where babies come from

I don't know if its hormones or working with kindergarteners, but one or both is making me crazy. Today, I experienced some major growing pains. I was quite worried at first, but I feel like I'm constantly bugging my doctor about every little thing, so I asked a VERY pregnant friend of mine what the pain I might be feeling was. She suggested it was probably my uterus muscles stretching to make more room for baby. And since the cramp would go away whenever I set down, I probably didn't need to worry about it. I believe she was right because I feel fine now. Just another thing people don't tell you before you decide to have a baby.

Let's just hope that Baby Girl Melon-y doesn't turn into another 80's TV show, Punky Brewster.

I think my sister covered Punky Brewster. I don't know how anyone else could possibly go there after Ann.

Keep on and you will have a "Full House" hahahaha!

If you and Geron have separate ideas about raising Melon-y, you'll be experiencing "Diff'rent Strokes."

When you start telling Melon-y about her ancestry, you'll be explaining her "Family Ties".

If she inherits the musical talent in the family, she may go on to experience "Fame".

If she inherits Geron's disposition, you'll all have "Happy Days."

When the baby comes, you'll experience three stages - "Three's Company," then you'll start to feel "Too Close for Comfort," then you'll just have to take it "One Day at a Time." (just kidding. It won't be that bad!)

When Lydia's tired and the baby's cranky, Geron will feel like he's "The Fall Guy." (again, just kidding on that one!)

I could go on like this all day, but I don't want Lydia to hit me when she sees me next month. And again, Baby won't really make things like the last two items I posted above, but the titles of the show's made it a temptation I couldn't resist!

Congrats!
