I've had it! The wedding ring is coming off!

Makes it sound like Geron's in big trouble, huh? Actually, my hands are just swollen, so the ring is too tight. I've moved it to my pinky finger for now. Yesterday, Geron and I were discussing the situation with Geron's parents. His mother sells sterling silver jewelry, so I was talking about getting something from her catalog to wear until my hands return to normal. There's just something about not having a ring on that finger that makes me feel naked or exposed. I mean, I am a model afterall and I don't want any men checking me out thinking I'm a single pregnant hottie. HA!! You mommies reading this--what did you do about this issue or was it even an issue for you?

Oh, and one more thing. I had the nasty glucose test this morning. It was very much like drinking flat orange soda that had an extra cup of sugar added to it. I have a serious sweet tooth, but even I could barely handle this stuff. I'm going to check in tomorrow and see what the results are if they don't call me before then.

It wasn't an issue for me, but a lot of the married women I know wore their wedding bands on a chain around their necks until their fingers returned to normal size.

You such a funny girl. Told you the glucose test was NASTY!

you and geron could trade rings and wear them around your necks, like class rings in high school. or he could do that with yours, and you could wrap string around the back of his and wear it on your finger. that'd be cool. or you could have your ring shaped into a dollar sign and hang it from a chain around your belly. that'd be hip.

Your sister is a nut. I do like hers and Jennifer's idea of wearing the ring on a chain around your neck, though. Love you.

i think my ring was stuck ON and wouldn't come OFF. After Daniel was born, I kept taking my wedding ring off for minutes at a time just because I could.

Yeah, I hated that glucose test.

this was a problem for me, but not until the very end. and i didn't take it off. i wish i would have. i thought we were going to have to cut it off at the hospital. to take it off, i would have to rub ice all over my finger so the swelling would go down JUST ENOUGH to get my ring off. take it off...and wear it on a chain around your neck, like others have suggested. i know lots of people who did that. :)

or you could put get some glittery pipe cleaners and make a tiara and put the ring in the front of it, with your engagement ring, too, and wear it on your head and show how special you are.

Or you could have your wedding band and your engagement rings melted down and turned into "bling" for your teeth. You could have gold-and-diamond teeth like a gansta rappa!

LOL

What's wrong with my sister? I don't have a gold chain to wear the rings on--they're bonded by the way--and I'm allergic to nickel so I can't just go buy something cheap. I think I'll probably put them in a safe place and get a sterling silver ring to wear in the meantime.

What - no teeth bling? Darn! I was hoping to see a picture of that!

i think patsy's stuff is pretty

You could wear the rings on ribbons instead of a chain. They would look pretty and not cost nearly as much. But I think buying the silver ring would be fine.

Jenn, somewhere I have a picture of Lydia with bling on her teeth--most people call it braces, though.

Your word verification today is omirxxow. How's that for a name?

that name definitely sounds like one of Maria's kids. Me and Rachel used to play a game at Eastern where we would just press random keys really fast (like banging on a piano) and then read what we'd type in what we thought were the most appropriate accents. That's what this word verification name thing reminds me of.

i kind of like the idea of the ribbon. (seriously) I think it suits your style. you could buy, like, 5 different ones to match different clothes. i think that would be really sweet.

Tooz, I used to have that kind of teeth "bling" too. What's big with rappers now is they have diamonds and other gems bonded to their teeth as well as having gold teeth. Kind of ridiculous, isn't it?

Aw, yeah! Toof bling!

My fingers swelled, but I left my rings on. Kind of like Suze--I couldn't really get them off.
